Innovation

Dr. Friedman will first discuss entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial thinking. Giving form to entrepreneurship requires a process of discovering problems to solve and generating value propositions with creative problems, services, or business models. To help us make this reality, Dr. Friedman will describe C4, his own creative problem-solving toolkit/framework that solves the problem of helping entrepreneurs create ideas that matter

C1 / Clarify: to understand the problem you are looking at. Naming the problem includes defining the reason you would solve a problem. This is expressed as the “More Proposition.” The More Proposition is a tool that allows us to give meaning to a problem and is indicative of what success looks like

C2 / Collect is divergent thinking to collect as many ideas as possible. All about quantity! From many ideas come great ideas after we consider all of them

C3 / Choose is to develop (ideate) for questions that force us to choose the best idea based on parameters that matter. Doing this step helps us to avoid the first right idea and work with ideas that matter most

C4 / Complete is to put ideas into action
