Library Services
Central Library of Sharif University of technology, situated in five-minutes distance on foot from GSME building, provides a variety of services such as access to digital and physical resources and different types of study spaces for all students, faculty members and staff. However, to support those inside the GSME building, the school provides the following services.
Large Open Space for Silent Study
The open space room is equipped to provide necessary facilities and carrels for self- study activities. Loud conversation is not permitted. Drink and food are discouraged.
Research/Group Study Rooms
GSME have research/group study rooms for students and faculty memebers. Food and drink are not allowed in research rooms. Group discussion and conversation is allowed. Research rooms are intended to be used for collaborative group study research and may be booked only for this purpose.
Computer Lab.
SME provides computing facilities to all faculty, staff and students. Necessary applications and software are installed on computers. Users can use laboratory computers to search library OPAC and online databases, check LMS and emails, prepare assignments and projects and related tasks.
Printing, Scanning and Photocopying
A kiosk situated at the ground floor provides printing, Scanning and photocopying services during opening hours to all users. Users are requested to follow local and international copyright laws.
Moreover, signing in to the GSME’s computer network using username and password, faculty and staff can use the printers across the building.

Wi-Fi/Hotspot
Users are able to connect their mobile phones, laptops and other handheld devices with a secure high speed Wi-Fi connection inside the GSME building during their stay at the building.
Conference Hall
The conference hall with all facilities is well required for running social events and gatherings with maximum number of 500 attendants. The hall has access direct to the neighbouring car park.
Digital Studio
The school and the university centre for eLearning jointly run the digital studio situated in the GSME building and provide services to all faculty and staff at the campus. The E-learning studio, equipped with next generation devices, has been appropriately powered to video, multimedia and live streaming sessions. Faculty can work with studio staff to create digital media to enhance teaching and learning.
Car Park
The under-ground multi-storey car park, university-owned and privately- operated, having capacity of 1050 cars, is open to all university employees and public. it is situated in the north-west side of the building.
