Who Can Apply?
You may apply to start a degree program in SUT through the International Students Office if your country of citizenship is not Iran.
How Can I Apply?
Candidates wishing to apply to Sharif for a Master's or Ph.D. program must complete the online application form. The required documents are: transcript(s), high school certificate indicating the final grades, resume, reference letters, English proficiency certificate, passport, and proof of financial support. The original documents will be required at the time of registration. Please note that in some cases the certificate may require validation from the Ministry of Higher Education in Iran. The application form and the supporting documents should be sent to the address metioned on the form. All documents should reach the International Students office no later than 1st July for those wishing to start in September and no later than 1st December for those who wish to start in the second semester in February. There are no interviews or written examinations. For Ph.D. students the area of study and research as well as the acting supervisor must be specified by the related Department before the final acceptance. Thus the applicants may be asked to contact their departments for an interview or further evaluation
Can I apply for more than one area of study?
When making your application, you must select just one area that you would like to study from the areas that your chosen department offers.
Can I transfer credit to Sharif?
International students may in some cases be able to transfer their credits from another university. This is usually decided individually by the department to which they apply. Iranian students wishing to transfer to SUT should see the "Transfer Students" section
What qualifications would I need to apply?
To make a competitive application, students need to be studying for, or have already achieved, the minimum qualifications equivalent to an average of 80% of the overall score. What Persian Language qualifications do I need?
Currently, all the classes in Sharif University of Technology are carried out in Persian language and therefore all international students are requested to pass Persian proficiency courses prior to starting the program. At the moment, these courses are offered by other institutions like "Dehkhoda" institute. Admitted international students will be directed to appropriate institutes to take these courses
