Transfer Students
Who Can Apply?
Iranian citizens who are currently enrolled in a degree program at a university outside of Iran and have completed at least one full-time term of their (graduate) studies at that university may apply to be transferred to Sharif University of Technology (SUT). This is also applicable to outstanding students who wish to complete their studies at SUT
How Can I Apply?
Iranian candidates wishing to apply to SUT for a relevant degree program must first upload their related documents to the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (MSRT) website, mad.saorg.ir/edus/default.aspx. Following an initial pre-screening, favorable applicants will be invited to submit their documents and any additional required information to the International Students Office. To be given the required access to the transfer application form, applicants must first create an account on iso.sharif.edu and then contact us at iso@sharif.edu with their full name and the email that they have used while creating an account on this website. Please note that unless you do not contact us as we instructed, you will not have access to the mentioned application form, and you cannot fill out the regular application form. In the online application form, some documents are required including your official transcripts. The original documents will be required at the time of registration. Please note that in some cases the certificate may require validation from the Ministry of Higher Education in Iran. The admissions process must be completed no later than July 1st for those wishing to transfer in September and no later than December 1st for those who wish to transfer in the second semester in February of the following year. Please note that due to SUT competitive admissions process and to safeguard successful performance of the students, only exceptional applicants will be accepted to transfer to SUT
How can I transfer credits to Sharif?
The transfer of credits is usually decided on individual basis by the department to which you apply. However, at most only 50% of the required credit hours for a degree program may be transferred
