Visiting Students
Students from an overseas university who wish to spend up to a year in Sharif University of Technology (SUT) to study courses related to their degree may apply for a place as a Visiting Student. Sharif does not issue a degree or any other qualification for one year of study as a visiting student, but will provide a transcript of the courses that have been taken reporting the grades that have been achieved. All visiting students should provide required credentials such as letter of permission from their original university indicating the courses that are permissible to be taken at SUT
Undergraduate visiting students typically partake in the same courses as SUT undergraduates. However, as graduate visiting students may spend some of their time working in an area of research with an SUT professor, they are encouraged to make contact with professors who share similar interests in advance of making an application

Application procedure:
The application deadline for those who wish to begin studying in September is July 1st and for those who wish to start in February is December 1st. Please note that only students at universities outside Iran are eligible to apply

What Persian Language qualifications do I need?
Currently, all the classes in Sharif University of Technology main campus are carried out in Persian language, and therefore, all international students are requested to pass Persian proficiency courses. At the moment, these courses are offered by other institutions like "Dehkhoda" institute. Admitted international students will be directed to appropriate institutes to take these courses
